Roller support is one of the belt support methods widely used in belt conveyors. It can effectively reduce the frictional resistance during transportation, and is more suitable for long-distance or large overall load transportation occasions. However, please do not use the roller (idler) supporting the belt for various forms of belt tension, even if it is not a large contact angle, the resulting tension is likely to cause fatal injury to the idler.

The unpowered roller runs in a passive state, and the roller rotates only when the goods pass by, which is of low intensity. In the case of rollers, the belt is the goods, and there is an uninterrupted running state between them. At this time, the electrostatic problem is often ignored, and appropriate measures must be taken to remove the large amount of static electricity generated by the high-speed friction between the roller and the belt. 3. How to reduce the running noise of idler?
The noise comes from the vibration of the roller at high speed, so first of all, it should be ensured that the connection between the roller and the frame is not "loose". In this regard, the performance of the internal thread installation method will be significantly better than that of the spring press-in type. Of course, other measures can also be adopted to eliminate the gap between the rear shaft core and the rack mounting hole by using the latter. However, it is not recommended to knurl it. This is indeed a means to increase friction, but it will cause damage to the belt, accelerate belt damage, and shorten the service life of the belt.
5. What is the simple and economical corrective design?
Deviation correction (also known as "deflection adjustment") is a problem that all belt conveyors have to face, especially when two-way conveying is required. It is a system engineering, need to have a special correction mechanism design. When there is no special application with large axial external force such as lateral feeding, it is recommended to use drum design, that is, the two ends of the roller are processed into a certain taper, so that it has a certain self-correcting function.
