Roller conveyor is the most common assembly line equipment used in automatic production lines. It has the advantages of large conveying capacity, fast speed, simple structure, high reliability, and convenient maintenance. This article will carry out a detailed system of roller conveyor. Combing and introducing to facilitate future design work.
1. How to judge whether the product is suitable for roller conveying?
Need to consider both the product's own conditions and the external environmental conditions.
(1) The product's own conditions: the contact bottom surface of goods suitable for roller conveying should be flat and hard, such as hard cartons, flat-bottomed plastic boxes, metal (steel) bins, pallets, etc. When the contact bottom surface of the goods is soft or irregular (such as soft bags, handbags, irregular bottom parts, etc.), it is not suitable for roller conveying. As shown in the following figure:
(2) External environmental conditions: Different rollers have their applicable temperatures, and it is important to choose the correct material. Plastic parts are brittle in low temperature environment and are not suitable for long-term use; polyurethane is easy to absorb external colors, so it cannot be used for packaging and goods with printed colors on the conveyor belt.
2. Classification of structural forms: ordinary rollers and accumulation rollers
Difference: The connection between the driving gear and the roller body is different. The common roller adopts an integrated fixed structure, that is, the gear rotates, and the roller also rotates. The accumulation roller adopts a separate movable structure. When there is no accumulated goods, the gear and roller rotate together. When there is accumulated goods, the gear runs idle and the roller body does not rotate.
3. Roller material classification: plastic, carbon steel galvanized, stainless steel, plastic, chrome plating.
(1) plastic roller: the use of resin or PVC production, light weight, rust effect is good, easy to clean, but the load and life is low;
(2) Carbon steel galvanized roller: a relatively economical and easy to plate a surface treatment, is a low-value anti-corrosion plating layer, cost-effective, is currently the most commonly used material form, but does not have a strong wear resistance, galvanized layer will gradually wear with the use of the roller;
(3) Stainless steel roller: beautiful, good corrosion resistance, suitable for kitchen utensils, auto parts, food production equipment, hospital utensils, etc;
(4) encapsulated roller: it can effectively improve the running condition of the conveying system, prevent skidding (such as the speed of specific stations, small angle climbing, etc.), and can also protect the bottom surface of the goods and reduce the conveying noise, but it will produce a small amount of "powder" after use, so it is not suitable for dust-free environment;
(5) Chrome-plated roller: the hardness, wear resistance, temperature resistance and corrosion resistance are outstanding. The surface of the chrome-plated layer will be passivated under slight oxidation to form a thin and transparent passivation film. It will not change color for a long time at normal temperature and will protect the chrome-plated layer. However, the brittleness is relatively large. The plated workpiece should not bear large deformation, otherwise the coating will easily break or fall off.
